Summer Camps
Opportunities abound for a child’s natural exploration of his or her surroundings. We will provide experiences where children can explore the natural wonder of childhood. These simple rhythms give children a sense of contentment and connection to the world in which they live. For close to a century, Waldorf schools around the world have been working to safeguard childhood. This years themes are: EARTH - AIR - FIRE - WATER! Explore the four essential elements of life at Tacoma Waldorf School’s Summer Camp Program. The elements will be woven into art, story, song, games and crafts to allow children to experience the elements in new and intriguing ways. Each day we will also include the opportunity for creative indoor and outdoor play, fiber arts, cooking, water play & gardening. We will explore the nearby parks during our nature walks. We will cook and share a snack together each morning and children will provide a healthy lunch and afternoon snack from home. Our camp is led by seasoned camp teachers who are enthusiastic for all the fun that summer may bring.
Camp Times: Monday through Friday, 9:00 am - 1:00 pm, or extended day, 9:00 am - 3:00 pm. All campers must be picked up no later than 10 minutes following the end of camp.
Camp Fees: All camps are based on Monday - Friday. 9:00 am - 1:00 pm $175.00 per week or extended day 9:00 am - 3:00 pm $190.00 per week. If siblings are signed up for the same weeks, the second sibling receives a 15% *discount. All camps include a snack, extended day campers need to bring their own nutritious lunch (please no junk food/pop/candy). Daily registrations are not available.
Space Availability: Spaces will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis & fill quickly. To hold a space, full payment of the camp fee is due at the time of registration. We will notify you if there is a need to place you on a waiting list.
Registration and Payment: Both the registration and fee/s are necessary for enrollment confirmation. Registrations and payments received will be date stamped and confirmed on a first-come, first-served basis. Please complete and mail the registration form and fee/s to the school to the address below.

Camps will be for ages: 4 - 10. For those of you who have younger children, we will look into having a 3’s camp in August, which helps ease the transition into the Early Childhood program.
Please complete the attached Summer Camp form with a check made payable to Tacoma Waldorf School, and either mail or drop off at the school office.
