About the Tacoma Waldorf School Summer Camps

This summer we will offer two exciting camps, Farm Camp and Drama Camp.

Summer Farm Camp at Zestful Gardens for children ages 4-8 All summer farm camp sessions are now full Farm Camp

Our camp offers your child the opportunity to explore, learn and create in the Waldorf experience. We will provide your child with a warm and nurturing environment where they can participate in the daily life of a working farm. In addition to working on the farm, your child will also participate in practical and artistic activities, storytelling and yes, have time for free play! Please see what parents had to say below.

Our weekly camp will be Monday through Friday, 9am to 1pm. Sessions run from June 16th till August 15th with the exception of June 30th - July 4th where there will be NO camp that week.

If you are interested in signing up for camp, which we hope you are, please fill out the attached registration form and return it along with the fee, to the Tacoma Waldorf School office by June 1st. If registering after June 1st, please contact the Summer Farm Camp Director, Amanda Haydon at: or 253-549-3397.

Drama Camps
with Stacy Evans-Agnew, Tacoma Waldorf School

Inventing Plays: July 14 July 18
(Going into 4th grade - going into 8th grade)

Have you ever wished you could do it all? Act? Write? Direct? Well in this 1-week intensive camp, students will be able to have a hand in each of these elements. Using Aesop's fantastic fables as a springboard, students will write their own version of a fable and then cast and direct the other actors in a performance. The students will also get to have the experience of acting in someone else's scene. The various fables will be connected to a whole as we build an ensemble and create a beginning, middle, and end to the overall performance. Expect high levels of creativity, problem solving and hard work, and an over -abundance of fun.
10 am - 2 pm, $150

Story Theatre: July 21-July 25
(Kindergarten-- going into second grade)

Welcome to the wonderful world of make-believe! Through storytelling and creative play, we will create characters and plays which will help bring stories to life. Through fairytales and folktales, we will develop characters and scenes. We will also express these stories through coloring, painting, and singing. This camp promises to be full of play, outdoor time, and good old fashioned fun!
9 am -- 1 pm, $150
