Employment Opportunities
The Tacoma Waldorf School is a small urban school serving students from Parent-Child to Grade Six. Our Faculty will consist of one Parent-Child teacher, one Preschool Teacher, one Kindergarten Teacher, one Afternoon Early-Childhood Teacher, Early-Childhood Assistants, and Grades Teachers. We offer Spanish, Japanese, Music, Handwork, and Games and Movement for our Grades children.
The Tacoma Waldorf is currently located in the Proctor District of North Tacoma.
Tacoma is a port city located on the Puget Sound between Seattle and our capital city of Olympia. Tacoma possesses a lively arts community including visual and performing arts. There are museums, theaters, and music venues. There are opportunities for hiking, biking, water and winter sports, all within reasonable distances. Locally, Pt. Defiance, Owens Beach, Swan Creek, Snake Lake and other sites offer lovely pockets of the natural world within our urban boundaries. There is also a Biodynamic Farm offering seasonal produce at several of our Farmers’ Markets situated at different neighborhood locations.

Faculty Compensation includes increments for teaching and educational experience, as well as tuition remission, medical, dental, and vision benefits. The contract cycle begins August 1st and the first installment of salary is paid on August 25th.
