Admissions Process
Tacoma Waldorf School welcomes inquiries from parents and families wishing to learn more about our school. Enrollment at Tacoma Waldorf School is ongoing. Our enrollment process consists of 5 steps. Please contact our Enrollment Coordinator if you need any clarification or have any questions.
Step 1 Come for a visit.
Join us for an open house event or schedule a tour with our Enrollment Coordinator at your convenience.
Step 2 Fill out an application and turn it in with the $50.00 application fee.
These dated applications will hold a place for your child based on the first come first served model.
Step 3 Parent meets with prospective teacher.
This is a chance for you and the teacher to sit down together and talk. The teacher will want to learn what he/she can about your child and you are invited to ask any questions that you may have.
Step 4 Parent, teacher and child meet.
This is a chance for the teacher to meet the child for a first hand evaluation to insure the class placement is age appropriate (a 1-3 day visit may be needed). Once the faculty and family reach a mutual agreement that Tacoma Waldorf School is the appropriate fit for the student, the family has 10 days to secure their child’s placement by completing the Enrollment Contract, the SMART Tuition Management form and paying the non-refundable enrollment fee. Mid-year enrollment (October or later) tuition and supply fees will be pro-rated accordingly.
Step 5 Enrollment forms filled out and turned in with $150.00 enrollment fee.
If financial assistance is requested, the enrollment fee can be held until a financial offer of support is determined and agreed upon.
